Ng Wei Hock and Woon Fook Sen, familiar names in the Chinese community of theatre and dance, have directed Island, a maiden play by Trickster Theatre. Although there will be some dialogue in Mandarin, much of the action will be physical rather than verbal.
According to the directors, everyone has their own fantasy island, an island full of memories. The performance focuses on a group of people who have enclosed themselves within their own island, isolated from others but not from their own lonely hearts.
The performers include Tam Sie Hong, Lee Yoke Mun, Chong Pei Wen, Wai Chee Pang and Loi Chee Lun.
