Dance – A Prayer

Mahavidya Dance Theatre (MDT) presents a third performance under its “DANCE A PRAYER” series, a multimedia presentation of dance theater, featuring Bharatanatyam and film projections. The performance is fully sub-titled in English to ensure that the audience is able to follow the sequence of each number. The highlight of this performance is the various tandavas (dances) of Shiva, the God of Dance, ranging from subtle, delicate movements to energetic, fast-paced footwork, set to the rhythm of five different percussion instruments.

MDT is a non profit organisation with a special interest in the development of Indian Classical dance. Classes are conducted holistically under the respected vazhuvoor tradition. We welcome your presence and support for this event, which is a collaborative effort between top rated artist in India and Malaysia.
