The International Theatre Institute Japan Center Dance Division has organised a 10 day (24 February – 5 March), 3 city (Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya) Asian Dance Conference / Meet With Asian Dance Festival.
With the theme “The Potential of Asian People”, the event involves participants from Japan, Korea, Bangladesh, Philippines and Malaysia.
From Malaysia:
. Rogayah Shahariman of Tasema Productions and MyDance Alliance will speak on “New Dance in Malaysia: some dances being created today and the influence of traditional and western forms”, highlighting the work presented by Guna, Junainah Mohd Lojong, Mun Lee and Woon Fook Sen for Dance Box 2001.
. Dua Space Dance Theatre will present “Scream – a response to Munch” choreographed by Anthony Meh, and performed by Aman Yap and Leng Poh Gee.
